Climate Change
AGREE.NET develop and leads policy and campaigning actions for development of concrete measures addressing climate change in Central and Eastern Europe. We stimulate reform of climate and energy policies in selected countries towards more sustainable ones.
Energy Policy
We see energy policy as a key area to tacke the problem of climate change, promote renewables and energy efficiency. Network works with information on energy policy, linking up with other networks working on energy policy and helping with the practical implementation of alternative energy plans. The member groups also bring their inputs into the EU based energy policy debate.
Renewable Energy Sources
We promote Renewable Energy Sources (RES) as environmentally, socially and economically feasible solutions to the current challenges posed by climate change and the dependency on polluting, expensive and imported fossil fuels. RES is seen as the key issue in regional development, social cohesion, employment and security of energy supply.

Energy Efficiency
Activities on energy efficiency raise awareness on the possibilities of citizens, households and public authorities to improve their own living conditions, through practical and cost-effective energy saving measures. The aim is to bring different stakeholders (e.g., non-governmental organizations, central/local governments, producers) together and find strategies and actions on how to increase public awareness on energy saving potentials and decrease the level of energy consumption as one of the ways to improve environmental protection and save the nature.
Environmental Education
The education of younger generations is a key activity if we are to effectively contribute to changes in behaviour and bring societies onto the path of sustainable development.
